Vitkor was born north of Steinbjorn, his father died when he was young while out hunting in the forest for the local lord. Upon his death his mother took him to Viktor's maternal grandfather, Forrest. Bright lad, always running about the trees and the wild creatures, Viktor was taught the Old Ways by his grandfather who was a solider against the Winter Court in the Last War.
When Viktor was 7, he got lost in the woods, this is when he first heard her voice, she asked him if he was scared, Viktor answered honestly like he still does, No! The voice gave a small laugh, that was void of most emotion, but whispered the directions home to him. Upon hearing this tale his Grandfather, also not wanting him to follow in his warrior ways, took Viktor to Austmer the Druid, an old friend of his. To be trained as a Druid, and in the Old Ways.
On the Eve of his 8th birthday, Viktor again heard the same voice in his head, this time with more strength but also with more pain. He felt the need to help this voice and take her pain away. For 6 years Viktor trained with Austmer learning all about Nature, the Fey Spirits and the Old Ways. Until on the Spring Equinox Viktor saw a Shadow in the Forest and dreamt of the Green Mother in pain and suffering. He immediately told Austmer whom quickly got angry at him and ordered him out of the grove.
Viktor watched as his grandfather and Austmer argued, and was lead away back to Framenturn. At the time, Viktor was unsure what was said, but now understands that Austmer was scared of the deal he had made with The Crone, and the guilt he felt betraying the Green Mother and the Ancient One. Viktor also is certain that Austmer instructed his Grandfather to train him with the Blade, as he knew Fate was going to call upon him.
This is why Austmer was so angry with Viktor returning to the Grove in Steinbjorn, and why Viktor knew to recognize The Crone. He now understands that the voice that has always guided him, and the voice in pain is of the Green Mother, whom is now known as The Spriggan, which is whom he called for assistance in help closing the Tear. It is also why he must return to the Grove, and ask for passage from the Primal Sisters.
Viktor truly believes it is his duty to help heal the Spriggan, and to try to return the Green Mother, but to do so he requires the IronHeart Blade from his dreams that he believes lays in the Grove of the Ancient One/Green Mother.
