Cephandrius invited the Eladrin retinue into the manor and escorted them into an office, avoiding any of the main areas where other preparations related to the Visitors and the organization of Hrim's forces were underway. Initially cagey, Azaki quickly realized that the party knew more of the grand cosmos than he initially thought. The conversation worked its way through many issues - why the Eladrin themselves cannot move to protect the Harmonies, what the memory modification really is (the Melody of Those Forgotten), and, after asking his guards to step outside, who the Eladrin and the Aen Elle are to one another and how they came to be on Vandalmál. Azaki also acknowledged the folly of their leaders in waging the Last War to wipe out worship of the Old Gods and tried to explain why it had happened in the first place. He has come to ask the party to stop the Speakers from acquiring another Harmony; he also brought a means to access Hul Keghrim faster than the entering the mountain passes and looking for an entrance - the glyphs of a teleportation circle his research suggests is located within the ruins. Before departing, Azaki also warned them that something ancient and dangerous guarded the Harmony - something created by the Ancients themselves, which accounts from the Eladrin who had placed the Harmony centuries ago described as thousands of voices emanating from everywhere and nowhere.
Coordinates in hand, the party now had only to set world events in motion. Prior to setting off for Hul Keghrim, though, several details needed to be finalized. Branon had decided to remain in the manor, meaning the group would need a new cleric and would need to acquire some new items to account for the halfling's desire to pursue other matters. First, Cephandrius set his retainers about several important tasks for Hnigalimar. Solva would begin working with local clerics and druids on sealing off planar travel into or out of the estate. Spirie would gather further intelligence on Varheim, while Asyn would assist the Visitors in repairing their ship and learning all she could about the interstellar vessels. Then, the party set off to Skara to tie up several loose ends.
The party secured a replacement bag of holding to account for the one Branon owned, and then met with Constable Folkvar to discuss his thoughts on the coming war and the mood in Skara. He gave them insight into how the Wolf Hunt and the Grand Council were approaching their obligations to Alrek and to Freythor, explaining why the Council had thus far seen to stay neutral... and that they had asked the Hunt to remain neutral as well. Folkvar also gave them access to the supplies of forgestone the guards had confiscated from the Speakers; Cephandrius filled his bag of holding with as much of the volatile rock has it would hold as an insurance measure to deal with anything incredibly serious.
Cephandrius also stopped in to see Sela at the Council Library... and found her worse for wear. She had drove deep into the archives and had managed to discover details that suggested the fabled ruins under the city were in fact real... and that the Eladrin had known of them, investigated them, and sealed them. Her efforts to break through the memory modification had been somewhat successful, but had frazzled her nerves greatly. The bard suggested she take a sabbatical and rest at Skaldic estate - an offer she said she would take him up on.
Despite Folkvar's warning, Vondal took the lead on trying to sway the Wolf Hunt anyway, speaking first with Brother Berti and then with Ylva; his previous interactions with the organization proved fruitful, and he was able to persuade them to join the cause. Meanwhile, Malva set her contacts in Thoka on two tasks: locating the entrance to the Ancient ruins beneath the city and locating the soulcage of Domari Draumspak, having now put together why the deceased investigator had not been able to be raised.
Those matters handled, the party returned to the Grand Council to seek an audience...
