On the edge of the mountains leading into the central valley of Biarmia about a half-day's ride from the crossroads to the Hobgoblin Reaches and Nidaros, Framenturn ("tower at the front") is a village that has grown up around the vanguard outpost built by the Hrim rebels during the Last War. All that remains of the original defensive structure are a few small wall sections and a massive watchtower, but the locals have modified the tower, adding an inn and tavern for travelers coming in through the mountains, while the local authority maintains a small manor house nearby with a brewery, sawmill, and grain-mill. Otherwise, there is a small smithy and a few small houses and fields as part of the main settlement; people live in their own little hovels dotting the nearby countryside or in cavern or burrow homes in the hills and mountains nearby.
The Watchful Eye - This Last War-era watchtower-turned-inn and tavern is the centerpiece of the small town.
Viktor's home - Viktor Forrest and his grandfather currently live in the area around Framenturn. The house is a solid wooden shack with enough space for the two men, a nice stone fence, and a small farm plot for corn, vegetables, and grain. There's also a nice apple tree at the corner of the fence.
Able Manor - the manor of the Able family, built within the last twenty years. The family have added a brewery, saw-mill, and grain-mill to the estate over the years that locals can use for barter or coin, and the current head of the family, Brennan Able, also employs a handful of guards and empowers a local constable to keep the peace in the small village.
Brighton Farms - the largest of the farms in the area belongs to the Brightons, and grows mostly regional grain-crops and herds goats, cattle, and oxen for milk, cheese, and meat.
Druan Bluntblade - Hailing from Hul Lodir north of Meadoros, this dwarven smith proudly displays his Guild papers in a frame over the small desk in the hovel where he negotiates fees off the side of his forge. His work is passable, especially for the farmers in the area.
